Signed in plate lower left: "Anton temp Fiorent fec."; titled in plate lower center: "ÆTAS FERREA"; inscribed in plate lower center: "Ferrea progenies duris caputi extulit antris / Inuehit hæc mundo protinus omne nefas. / Horrida per cunctas errant incendia terras / et ferrus admissis. Mars agitatur equis. / Victa iacet Pietas uirtus. Rectique decorum / Mox subeunt fraudes, vis, scelus, Ardor opum". A rich, brilliant, clear early 17th century impression in fine condition aside from minor paper loss in upper margin. On laid paper with thread margins on all four sides.
